Just to add on, to teach someone something means u have to know that something first. This, in a sense, force or rather motivate u to study more.
haha.. i always help when it's physics and maths..but nt the binomial.. from jc till now uni i always cmi binomial..
do and forget, and do and forget.. lol.. my whole two years in jc, every exam paper i skip binomial.. din turn up for binomial quiz..
only A lvl den i attempted binomial and got it partially correct and gan happy.. lol..

I respectfully agree what you have said.
When I was in my Secondary School days, I gave tuition to my classmates who were struggling with their schoolwork. Over a long period of time I realised that what I'd taught them seems to 'reinforce' in me. It's a win-win situation where my classmates and me benefited; they can clear their doubts when coming to questions they didn't know how to do, and I can reinforced what I'd learnt during lesson.
Wah, i was a teacher, i taught students, but then i get nothing in return. In fact, it lowers my standards.
