My l1r4 Is 12
My l1r5 is 15 , i have no cca points at all.
Im thinking of TPJC which have a cut off point of 13. How successful will it be if i appeal, for the science stream. While, im good in sience (A1) But im not that good in Emaths (b3). I scared that i cant make it for my maths. But im willing to work hard as i dunno i really want in my life yet.
If also, If i go temasek poly, As it is nearer to my house. But i know they are not that good in business as compared to Np or Sp. I am currently contemplating if i should go Accountancy and Finance or Biomedical.
I got foundation for accountancy and i know it will make one rich next time as accountants are in large demands. But i have not much interest in it
For biomedical im quite interested in it but i have no background knowledge for bio! HOW? plus all those wierd wierd names for cells, enzymes must learn. Scare i cant take it.
im interested most in interior design but i know i cant make a living out of it.
Kind souls PLEASE HELP!
there's no such thing as not that good in business as compared to NP or SP
all are the same just that it aint so popular as the others there.
dont spoil market, go jc pls.

If you're not sure what you want to do as a career, you're right to go JC. And since you're interest is in Science, you're right to want to get into Science stream.
Go ahead and appeal to TPJC, although frankly, because you don't make the cut off point, be mentally prepared to get into your 2nd, 3rd or 4th choices, which should be other JCs which are slightly easier to get into, eg. SRJC.
Also, don't be worried about "can't make it" for maths or Bio, or whatever. Your fear is a false story that needlessly limits your own potential.
Thanks alot! For JCs, I am only interested at TPJC. Others are just located too faraway. I think i will just go biomedical, i just put it as my first choice. I dont wanna waste my first choice by putting Tpjc as i think plans will come to naught.
if i complete the diploma, can i become a science teacher in the future? For Example in Sec School? Anw I heard biomedical is not bad, salary of 3 k is not suprising for Poly Grads.

If you want to be a Science teacher (like myself), you need to get a University Degree before MOE will hire you. In other words, it's recommended you take the JC route (because this path is more focused on getting into University). You can still take the Diploma route, it's just that you have to make sure you do exceptionally well in your Diploma studies, to get you a place in a University to do a relevant Science course; only after that can you apply to be an MOE teacher.
Hi,
It's always best to ask the academic counsellors at the institutions of your interest. Much info that you need will be gleaned from them :) Help yourself by going forth boldly to ask, before the deadline for registration is up. Thanks!

ok i will just try my best in poly
erm im having headache with the jae stuff too. i have 12 pts raw, after minus those bonus points, i have 8 pts. ( cos i take hcl). i want to try to get in to tjc but their cop is 6 pts. should i take the risk to put it as first choice then put mjc as second? im afraid in the end, i would get none and have to settle with my third choice, which could be nyjc or tpjc.

Your 8 pts is 2 points over, which makes your chance of going TJC almost nil. You probably want to put MJC as 1st choice (since you prefer MJC over NYJC or TPJC).
haha ok thanks!
