anyone has a simpler explanation of the differences between random and systematic error?
random- using stopwatch to time something but got human delay
systematic- something like parallex error?
Basically random error is error that occurs with different magnitudes and directions with every reading.
Systematic error is error that occurs with the same magnitude and direction for every reading.
LOL. simple version?
random errors cannot be corrected.
systematic errors can be corrected.
err...
random errors are random?
systematic errors are systematic?
Jokes aside, to add on to what was already posted, random errors can be minimised by taking averages of a few readings as well... Can't do the same with systematic errors.
