The average Singaporean will be surprised to know that gangsterism is still very much active in Singapore, just that (unlike other countries), they (wisely) keep a lower profile from the public eye here.
Edited : Speaking of gangsterism, if you haven't caught it yet, go watch "Mr Six" asap, before it ends its run in local cinemas. The movie depicts 2 very different socioeconomic types of gangsters in China go up head-to-head against each other.
The Singapore government Media Development Authority (MDA) explains their decision to assign a M18 rating for "Deadpool" (opens on Valentine's day) in the following statement :
There are multiple and frequent use of the expletive “fuck� throughout the film, and some utterances of the expletive “motherfucker�. As such the film is appropriate under a M18 rating.
