On Mediacorp Channel 5, a news report about sexual trafficking, exploitation and slavery in Singapore. It's sad to see these women (foreigners from many different countries) kena handcuffed in raids, as they are the pitiful victims here, not the perpetrators (ie. the employers, pimps and transnational criminal gangs who control the sexual trafficking, exploitation and slavery). Of course, not all prostitution is coerced, that would be naïve thinking (if you're a Geylang regular, SWIM fyi, you'll be able to discern the different types of cases). But for every one case of coerced prostitution (especially extreme cases where all of the earnings go to the pimps and gangsters who enslave the woman with intimidation threats of violence), it's still one case too many.

Sculptor of Wall Street's Bull feeling damn dulan, wants 'Fearless Girl' moved. Arturo Di Modica said his 11-foot-tall Bull is supposed to represent "freedom in the world, peace, strength, power and love" but now 'Fearless Girl' has turned his Bull into something negative. Bull's sculptor won't rule out legal action against 'Fearless Girl' sculptor and/or owner, if not removed soon.

Taiwanese villagers point their paper missiles at Sg flag

It was reported in Taiwan news last month (27 Mar 2017) that Taiwanese villagers, fed up with the continual presence of SAF troops training in their Hsinchu County, staged a public protest asking SAF to get out of Taiwan.
They were shouting, “Starlight troops get out (星光部隊滾出去)!�
The villagers are angry that their land has been acquired without compensation to allow SAF to use as artillery range. They also complained about the disruptions in their life from SAF artillery training exercises.
In addition, the presence of SAF in Hsinchu has severely restricted local development in the area, the villagers said.

No worries. First of all, you'll only be affected if your PC is running on next-generation Intel, AMD and Qualcomm processors (ie. recently bought, high-end PCs). Secondly, even then, you can continue to use Windows 7 or 8, just that you won't be able to download security updates and patches (which is bad, but not *that* bad if you have your own security applications installed, and take the necessary precautions).
