Not at all unexpected in (racial & religious tension riddled) Malaysia. Thank LKY (and PAP's racial & religious equality assured government policies) that this wouldn't happen in Singapore, due to genuine racial & religious harmony inculcated throughout the decades, something most Singaporeans still take for granted, until reminded by news reports of such incidences from Malaysia and Indonesia.

[Malaysia] - As the visitor comments below the article points out, politicians and NGOs have hijacked the religious issue for political agendas. Also at issue is the societal-cultural-religious-political divide between Sabah-Sarawak versus Peninsular Malaysia.
Notice that among the visitor comments, a visitor 'Vicky' seems to single-out and blame one specific NGO for Malaysia's worsening racial-religious disharmony, railing against this particular NGO across his multiple posts.

[Singapore / Malaysia] - Sharp eyes on the part of the driver's, as well as making the effort to make a round trip again on the highway (most people won't even bother to stop, even if they know there's a cat there, who knows how many hours have the cat already been stuck there?), almost certainly saved the paralyzed-with-fear cat's life. "The Swimmers" (2014 Thai movie) remains one of the best Thai movies of all time, and also one of the best horror(+love) movies of all time, and also (by obvious logical extension) probably the best Thai horror(+love) movie of all time, and indeed is one of the best movies (across genres and nationalities) of all time.
If you can't find the movie online to watch for free, consider buying the DVD if you're into Thai movies, or horror(+love) movies, or just want to watch a really excellent movie.
