That's one obvious thing about Jack Neo films and MediaCorp TV dramas, they're rather low on the IQ scale. Whether that's representative of Singaporeans in general, or just Jack Neo and MediaCorp, is a separate matter for debate. Sure there are some highbrow (or at least higher-brow) films made by local film-makers, but these aren't as popularly received as Jack Neo movies and MediaCorp TV dramas, are they?

Even with a CCTV camera (apparently there wasn't one) installed in the eatery, it won't be easy to identify the culprits, who left before the police arrived. Let's see if, without the culprits (not known if they're locals or foreigners) surrendering, whether the Singapore police can identify them or not. Consider it a test of competence, as it could have been a robbery instead.

He swam the race of his life and won a medal, only for the performance to be nullified due to an obscure rule that defines maximum effort. And it happened not once, but thrice.
This was what happened to a 15-year-old autistic boy who took part in the Special Olympics Singapore National Games swimming competition held at United World College of South East Asia on May 21.
He had won the 50m freestyle race and was disqualified for “swimming too fast�. He subsequently won a silver in the 100m freestyle event, but was disqualified for the same reason. A re-race was held, and despite him slowing down deliberately, he was still denied a bronze medal after coming in third in the race.

Turns out the Serangoon TeoChew Mui (porridge) shop had CCTV camera footage of the incident afterall, BUT the footage is of poor resolution, and the angle of the camera seems to have failed to capture the faces of the perpetrators.
