I was a magician for a while. I don't know every trick (no one does), but of all the Criss Angel tricks I've seen, it has never taken more than a second to figure out how he did it. Frequently he uses camera tricks and other special effects that I don't personally find impressive. I can tell how David Blaine does most of his tricks as well (though some have taken me a minute to figure out). David Blaine’s magic is frequently less staged and more skill-based which is something I appreciate. So I would consider David Blaine the better magician in the traditional sense of the word. That said, neither of them can compare to any of the truly great magicians I've seen. I've met magicians who can baffle a room full of other magicians with a totally impromptu act. They leave the likes of Criss Angel and David Blaine in the dust. But that's just my opinion.

I am a proffesional magician. And i can say for a fact david blaine is soooo much better in magic comparee to criss. How ever criss is trained for stage performance. He is an illusionist. By that i mean, criss has more understanding in music, lighting, choreography. But if you met david and criss in person, i’ll bet david will fool the shit out of you. Not criss.
