Police in Northern California say people looking for a Christmas tree found a partially clothed woman who had been kidnapped and abandoned in a rural area.
Redding Police Capt. Eric Wallace says the group found the 25-year-old woman in a wooded area of Shasta County on Monday. He says the woman sought shelter in a burned-out tree, drank water from a mud puddle and was exposed to extremely cold temperatures, rain and snow.
The woman told police she was kidnapped a day earlier by two acquaintances who believed she had stolen drugs from them.
Wallace says the woman also told investigators she was beaten and the pair forced her to undress and left her almost naked with only a pair of shorts in subzero temperatures.

A certain 'Dr' (awarded 'honorary PhD' by an unspecified organization) regularly advertises on The New Paper, claims medical doctors, lawyers and church pastors, regularly seek him out for advice (medical advice? legal advice? spiritual advice? is this one of those Chuck Norris jokes?). If you check out the photos on his personal website as well as Facebook pages (both personal and his company's), it appears he really has thousands of people around Asia paying him money for his lectures and teachings. While it's tempting to say state the obvious, that 'there's a sucker born every minute', but it's actually sad, that there are so many gullible people desperately clinging onto false hopes to try to bring more money / success / relationships into their lives through such dodgy 'methodologies'. And while most clear-minded observers might jump to the (frankly obvious) conclusion that the good 'Dr' is a conman, the truth might be even that much more pitiful : the 'Dr' might genuinely believe he's teaching the truth, and that he's saving thousands of lives and souls. Now I'm not into the habit of criticizing others or their work (dodgy as it may be), but as a man of both Science and Spirituality myself, his advertisements' flagrant claims of scientific backing from multiple scientific disciplines (really just pseudoscience nonsense) for his methods irk me, which is the primary motivation for this rant.
I don't need to name him or his company specifically. If you've seen his advertisements around, you'll know who he is, and what he does. If you haven't, well jolly well save yourself some blood from being vomited out.

Well, if he's really into chilli crab, he should sample the dish at different restaurants, eg. Jumbo versus Long Beach, because it tastes different at each place. Personally, I find black pepper crab is much nicer than chilli crab, for most restaurants.
Japanese artiste Suga Shikao already has his free time in Singapore planned out ahead of his visit to the island this week.

Chilli crab may be a common treat for many celebrities who visit the island nation, but it is admittedly not the easiest dish to eat, as Game of Thrones star Tom Wlaschiha found out.
“[I tried] the chilli crab last night, it was amazing – although it was a bit of a surgery,� said the German actor, who was in town for HBO Asia’s 25th anniversary on Friday (1 December).
