An Ang Moh prefers non-chatty service staff, which is, whaddya know, the Singapore way. And most Ang Mohs wonder why Singapore service staff appear to be rude by not being chatty.
I know I am considered by some (not close friends) to be a bit of a curmudgeon, but I loathe the mini-conversations that are a regular feature of supermarket checkouts these days. Shoppers get interrogated before their first meal for one has gone through the scanner. It starts with a bright “have you had a nice day so far?� or the real killer, “got anything nice planned for this evening?� As far as I am concerned, the correct answer is WHY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?!?

Singaporean man gets failed cheese on his fries from McDonald’s, complains to McDonald's, but McDonald's told the customer to settle with delivery courier UberEATS instead. Customer eventually got 80 cents refund from UberEATS, not McDonald's. But we highly doubt that the UberEATS deliveryman secretly ate the cheese and the bacon on the way over.

"Police raid of an unlicensed brothel. I wasn't exaggerating when I said they use battering rams and sledgehammers. In fact, I saw that they also used a circular saw and wore balaclavas. As Sherry puts it, "the SPF think of their own safety first but not the poor prostitutes". The whole area smelled like burning metal for a moment. A huge crowd gathered, adding to the spectacle. And to make matters worse, the media was invited and I got to witness first hand how they make the poor women pose with their faces to the walls in order to shame them. This is what your taxpayers money are put to: groups of armed men terrorizing helpless women."

I hope tonight you anti sex work can sleep well while these women were ashamed by the media and their rights taken away from them simply because the officers forced them to signed the paper whereas no concrete evidence of soliciting was presented.

Cute Xmas deco. Too bad ruined by greedy REITS. Good thing the inanimate deco pieces don't have feelings, otherwise it'll be a shame they're left lonely in the cold, out of no fault of their own. Who's fault? Greedy REITS! Raising the cost of living for Singaporeans year on year. But REITS itself, is merely a human instrument, a symptom of human greed. Same with money. It's similarly fallacious to say "money is the root of all evil", because money is merely a symbol or instrument for human greed.

A Milk Protein, Casein, as a Proliferation Promoting Factor in Prostate Cancer Cells
Purpose
Despite most epidemiologic studies reporting that an increase in milk intake affects the growth of prostate cancer, the results of experimental studies are not consistent. In this study, we investigated the proliferation of prostate cancer cells treated with casein, the main protein in milk.Results
α-Casein and total casein did not affect the proliferations of RWPE1, HEK293, A459, SNU484, MCF7, HEK293, or RWPE1 cells. However, PC3 cells treated with 1 mg/mL of α-casein and casein showed increased proliferation (228% and 166%, respectively), and the proliferation of LNCaP cells was also enhanced by 134% and 142%, respectively. The proliferation mechanism of α-casein in PC3 and LNCaP cells did not appear to be related to the induction of Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), since the level of IGF-1 did not change upon the supplementation of casein.Conclusions
The milk protein, casein, promotes the proliferation of prostate cancer cells such as PC3 and LNCaP. -
