a qn wads diff between stiff leg deadlift n oridinary deadlift?Originally posted by Simon Dean:1)Dumbbell chest presses.
2)Stiff legged deadlifts to knees.
3)Upper back exercises.
Stiff leg you rack the barbell on the power rack itself and not on the ground.Proceeding, you add some weights to the side.Use a reverse grip, unrack the barbell and go down to either mid shin or slight below knees.I go slight below knees.Legs can be slightly bended. It is a killer for the Hamstring and lower back if done properly. It also works your trapezius muscles.Originally posted by borntolive:a qn wads diff between stiff leg deadlift n oridinary deadlift?

Well..Some powerlifter/bodybuilder still call it stiff legged although Romanian is the more proper term.Originally posted by Marco_Simone:???
When you do it with a slight bend in the knees,it is called a Romanian deadlift.
When I do Romanian deadlifts,I use normal grip(not reverse), I don't do it in a power rack.I bend to mid shin also.
I don't know la,but from what I read SLDLs are done with with utterly straight legs.Originally posted by Simon Dean:Well..Some powerlifter/bodybuilder still call it stiff legged although Romanian is the more proper term.
I will take note of that. But point is:This exercise is great, i do to below knees which is accepted as well.
