isit advisable for beginners to use free weights to engage in back exercises ? i am constatly worried that my back will be injured and i dun feel anithing when doing 26kg bent over row using barbell

well i m not sure wad i done is correct but when i 1st started out, my back is just pull ups, lat pull down, cable pullover n rows with dumbells..then after a while i add in deadlifts n T-bar...wadever it is start easy n progress

I use a slow and contracted movement for my back, thats how i do it.But i use fast explosive movements during contests.I just had a 20kg dumbbell rowing contest with my friend.I did 26 and he did 10.
