Came back from RT , OC RT says : For chin-ups , guys can try the women's chin-up bars and do 50 times each repetition , for the muscles to develop and the skill to pull.
i always remembered the time in the army......when i couldn't do 12 for a minimum.....they make you hang on to the bar......and someone behind will assist you........
Now I am doing chin ups every day.
On weekdays,I do 40+ chin ups(evenings before dinner and night before sleep)
On weekends,I do 60+ a day-20+ reps before each meal.
Currently,my max is 14 chin ups before failure,so I do 6-8 reps per set(not to failure) since I am training so frequently.
Once I can do 20 swee swee ones,I will stop doing bodyweight chin ups and go to weighted versions.
No point doing 40 chin ups with bodyweight-these won't add much to your upper back mass.
