Any toy buyers had any problems with any figure shop?
Does anyone go to the figure shop at sunshine plaza before...
u noe the figure shop situated very near to the exit point..
a young lad owning in the shop
seriously that is the worst figure shop l go to..never had l such a bad experience..every shop in sg l go..are all very nice and good..except this
ish like their prices is expensive and l find the owner kinda rude..and l feel he is stupid to implement membership card in his shop
and furthermore l tink he oso dun noe how to do business.. tere was once..l want buy toys at his shop..the price is $35...l ask him..l buy la..but can giv me a better price..$33...he say no..definite no to shut me ..and told me fixed price..l was like -_-" and the way he says it is oso very unfrenly
and oso when u enter the shop..he expect u to buy his toys and etc..u nver buy he giv u a black face or keep look at u...
being a customer..l dun welcome at his shop..
that is y now l go tere..l juz stand outside his shop to see his toys -

l went china square central..and alot of places...the ppl all very frenly...and see me will still smile smile and joke with me..tok to me patiently..nver buy oso nver giv black face and etc de

I think the figure/model shops scene is abit like sim lim square... it pays to look around. When most of the shops have the same item, everyone sells at a competitve rate. However when that piece is sold out the shop that still has it will usually jack up the price sky high. Also some shops are quite dishonest. One of the shops I called on the phone quoted me a price for an item...but when i actually went down to pick it up he increased the price by 5$. Naturally I did not buy and won't be buying from that shop if I can help it.

They can't seem to understand that customers need to know the price before deciding whether to buy or not. Instead they want you to come down waste time/travelling cost then offer you a price based on whether they like your face or not.

i'm not happy with the figure shop at funan the IT Mall call Urban Arctic on the 4 or 5th floor i think. prices there are simply kill people set fire.

I remember I was even there on their opening day, bought some Bandai Candy Toys, well, actually bought about 13 box of em' Tat guy even joked say u take all, wait I dun hav how?
But that was a young guy... never seen him since then... now usually is 1 uncle and 1 old man walk around the shop.
But I can understand the old man lah, old ppl generally more scare ppl steal their stuff, like to walk around like supervisor like tat. Then ppl will tink they unfriendly.
But if u go on Sat/Sun, a lot of ppl, u go in browse browse they also wun giv
face de... coz too mani ppl to notice u. -

I went to the shop that day .. very expensive leh .. purposely mark up the price one. -
accuatly Latendo is sales person is not bad de
last time i deal with some middle-age sales person there
quite helpful, about the young lad, i not very sure about his attitude,
i never seen him before,
but if u see a middle-age man, (around 30-40 yrs old)
wearing specs, just walk in the shop.
his name is Vincent, i deal with him 3 figurines,
not only he give me a very low price, his attitude is very good
that day i deal with him, i saw this "WitchBlade" figure quite nice,
he say, "u want, i can give u discount la, since u already here, and u settle the deal less then 4 hrs, i can let this baby go at a $10 discount if u really like it"
hahaha i told him maybe next time i buy lor cause i didn't bring much money with me and i forgot to bring my Nets also.
then because his attitude so good i one week later go his shop again, as he was busy talking to other customer, i walk around the shop, and i buy 2 figurines, then he ask me want to make member anot, can get further discount
but i say no need lah i dun buy alot de, then without asking he just give me discount, so i just thank him
thats all i bought from him. while recently i never see him in his shop, i saw a lady in his shop instead. -
