I personally find it very difficult to find interesting and fun toys in spore for kids. Most of the toys on sale are either too boring or too complicated for kids in the age range of 4 - 12.
However I saw a new shop at Suntec city, it is located near to guardian pharmacy. It is call "build a bear workshop" http://www.buildabear.com.sg/.
What is cool about the bears that you can build from this workshop is, you can record a message in your own voice and insert the recording device into the bear before they sealed it up. This makes for a good gif to a special someone, but I got my kids to record something in their voices and insert into the bears. It was fun because the bears become special now, not another stuff toy bought off the shelve.
Cost-wise, the bear skin cost about $17-$30+, the voice recording device costs $14, so this gives you some guage on the costing, find more details on the site.
I thought this is an interesting shop, the staff are also friendly, pl do take a look inside.
