Gabriel Heinze has ruled out talk of a move to Real Madrid because he wants to repay United for sticking by him during a season out injured.
The news comes as a welcome boost for the Reds, the day after the club issued a stern statement stating there is "no possibility" of Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the club.
"I'm settled in Manchester and haven't thought about leaving Old Trafford," Heinze told The Sun newspaper.
"I've heard about the interest in me from Spain and I'm proud to hear a club like Real Madrid are thinking of me.
"It's a great compliment and would make any professional happy."
Gabby, who damaged knee ligaments in United's Champions League draw with Villarreal back in September 2005, says he has a debt of honour to Sir Alex.
"United and the coach stood by me when I had a knee injury last season and couldn't play and, if they want me to continue, that is what I will do."
Heinze is due to report back for pre-season training at United's Carrington training headquarters on 24 July.

X2... Heinze Vidic Ferdinand Evra.. Power power.. But don't know if Evra is as good as he is in Football Manager haha.. Maybe we need a new rightback.. Heard some rumours about Sergio Ramos.. Right back I think should get Ramos, Miguel or Lahm(If he can play right back).. Some more got Brown, Baardsley, O'Shea as back up.. Defence maybe can make it ah this season.. He never left manu since he was 14. He was basically SAF's boy and a loyal manu char like many others.
