Man Utd pre-season tour to South Africa

A United squad blending youth and experience will fly to Durban to begin their 10-day tour of South Africa this afternoon.
The old heads of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are joined by teenage Academy graduates Danny Simpson and Jonny Evans, while Ben Foster is set to make his first United appearance almost a year after joining from Stoke City.
Foster spent last season at Watford, and is joined by five other returning loanees - Simpson, Liam Miller, Chris Eagles, Phil Bardsley and David Jones - all looking to make their mark in the absence of first-team regulars.
Chinese striker Dong Fangzhuo - guesting from Royal Antwerp - also makes his second appearance on a pre-season programme, having played and scored in last summer's Asia tour.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side have one full day to prepare for their Saturday clash with Orlando Pirates before departing Durban for Cape Town, where they will face Kaizer Chiefs next Tuesday.
Both South African sides will playoff on Thursday July 20 for the right to face United again, in Johannesburg on July 22, before the Reds fly home.

Dong Fangzhuo is just another marketing gimmick.
Seriously speaking, do u see him having a future here?
Bardsley is improving steadily and so does David Jones & Rossi.
Christopher Eagle n Foster had good seasons while on loan at Watford. I think they'll shine if given the chance.
Miller's form has been outstanding while on loan at Leeds.
Evra and Brown can provide good covers on the left n right back position respectively.
O'Shea is a utility player.
Sell Fletcher for goodness sake. He's too slow n skinny for the premiership.
Richardson should be given more chances on the left wing.
I think with all these players emerging, old guards like Scholes, Giggs, (expecially) Neville & Solskjaer can retire soon enough.

I sarport United since the arrival of Yorke.
N the most interesting part is the first ever "live" United match i watched was on channel 12, United v.s Arsenal. United wacked them 6-1.
I still remember asking my dad if the television station made a mistake!

Fletcher sucks totally, horrendous passing. Richardson is brilliant, saw glimpses of him when he was 17yrs old and I thought he was brilliant then he went on loan to West Brom, also brilliant. He should be a first team regular... -
