Paul Scholes has denied reports that he is set to come out of international retirement.Recent tabloid speculation had suggested that the 31-year-old midfielder would be coaxed back onto the world stage by new England boss Steve McClaren.
Scholes, however, told ManUtd.com: "It's nonsense. I don't know where the papers got that story from.
"I've not even contemplated it, to be honest."
The United veteran made his England debut against South Africa in 1997 and went on to notch 14 goals in 66 international appearances.
Often used out of position by the national team, Scholes quit international football following England's elimination from Euro 2004 at the hands of Portugal.
