Sir Alex Ferguson is confident Louis Saha can find the goals to negate the absence of Ruud van Nistelrooy this season. The Frenchman bagged his first pre-season goal against Sevilla on Saturday, and Ferguson feels the 28-year-old has the qualities to bag plenty more in the coming months.
"Louis is a fantastic footballer, there is no doubt about that," said Ferguson.
"He has everything; great pace and two good feet. He is good in the air and exceptionally powerful."
Saha began to show his best form in the second half of last season and, with van Nistelrooy sold to Real Madrid, Ferguson expects Saha to pick up the Dutchman's goalscoring baton.
"He only started playing in November last year and he still ended up with 15 goals," he said. "I think he could easily score 25 for us this season."
