Boss still keen on signing midfielder

Sir Alex Ferguson is still hopeful of adding another midfielder to his squad ahead of the Premiership kick-off this weekend.
Following the £14million capture of Michael Carrick two weeks ago, the Reds have been heavily linked with Bayern Munich's Owen Hargreaves, Villarreal's Marcos Senna and Lyon ace Mahamadou Diarra in recent weeks.
"We are trying very hard to get another midfield player in," confirmed Sir Alex.
"But, at the end of the day, I have a terrific squad of players with great ability.
"The boys have to accept the challenge. We are ready and hopefully, they can do the business."

not only do united need another midfielder, they'll need another striker. they should have moved for trezequet or ibrahimovic.

I would prefer Hargreaves over the other 3 midfielders..he's young and about to reach peak, dun cost alot and he has that english fire
but wth...might as well buy them all

I think United jus need one defensive midfielder and Hargreaves will do the job.
He'll cost cheap but i think Fergie's brainless marketing plan will cost United double Hargreaves' value.

ya united needs a DMC badly n it looks like senna is coming.Ok better than nobody right.But he's 30 already...few seasons later we will be looking for dmcs again.Sad.N next few seasons i can see that we will be looking for WINGERS,as giggs is nearing his retirement n that ronaldo,who noes if he will be staying for long?..richardson is juz a fringe player,not gd enough for a clun like manutd.We need world class wingers not juz gd winger...n i wonder if utd has so much $ to spend?SAD
