Bans stand for United duoWayne Rooney and Paul Scholes will miss three matches after an independent disciplinary commission rejected United's appeal against their suspensions.
The pair's punishments were first issued by the FA last Wednesday, 9 August. Rooney was reported for violent conduct and Scholes for foul play following their dismissals against FC Porto in the LG Amsterdam Tournament on Friday 4 August.
The suspensions start on 23 August, making the players unavailable for Charlton away that day, Watford away on 26 August and Tottenham at home on 9 September.
The Club has no comment to make on the outcome of the appeal.
