Phil Bardsley is likely to remain on loan with Scottish club Rangers, despite reports of a training ground incident with the club's manager Paul le Guen.
Further reports claimed that Bardsley would return to Old Trafford with his loan spell cut short. But the 21-year-old right-back, at Ibrox to gain first-team experience, is expected to remain north of the border for the duraction of the agreement, which ends on 1 January 2007.
Bardsley did not travel with the rest of the Rangers squad to Italy for their UEFA Cup clash with Livorno on Thursday.
But Rangers said in a statement on Wednesday: "There was an issue on Tuesday and hopefully it will be resolved when Paul le Guen returns from Italy this week as Phil is happy to stay at Rangers until the end of December."
