The New Paper Reports

  Hey guys, i had this in mind ever since i bought my first "The New Paper" like more than 7 years ago.
  
  Have you guys noticed that the soccer reports are EXACTcopy from soccernet.com and the mistake they made are EXACTLY the same?
  
  For example, if you read the New Paper Sports section today, 23rd October 2006, you would have noticed that the Real Madrid v.s Barcelona's report matches soccernet's.
  
  And the mistake they made: "Robinho then crossed for Raul, who grazed the upright with a clever glancing header after 14 minutes.
  
  The young Brazilian striker was enjoying perhaps his best game since joining Real last year from Santos and tried his luck from outside the area on 17 minutes, forcing a fine save from Iker Casillas."
  
  Erm, isn't Casillas Real's keeper? Why did he save a Robinho's shot?
  
  
  I begin to wonder what are the New Paper journalists doing. Providing tips for soccer betting?

  not everybody read soccernet ma. so they post the match details lohz. then later for epl matches they get ppl like tohari to post his own comments.

  issit?? i always see at the end of their report is always -AP or -PA sport or -wire services

  Oh i forgot, they provide graphics to describe the events(goals, misses, saves, fouls, yellow/red cards) too.

  maybe soccernet also get their data from pa sport or wire services.....

  I did highlight once to them, that if they were to lift from internet pages, they should acknowledge them. just wondering why certain internet sites not suing?

  they do...at the end of their report they will put -pa sports or -wire services.
  
  for pictures they will put pictures: reuters

  coz soccernet is owned by espn...
  and the news is sold to newspapers by espn subsidary...
