but i think Heinze is more solid at defending.Originally posted by zocoss:Actually i find Patrice Evra is better than Gabriel Heinze lately... do you all think so? I know his Man u career didn't start too well since he came in mid-season and from another country but he, like Fletcher... they seem to be playing their best football for united lately. He is faster and he add speed into their attack... Found Heinze a bit slow when he came on... Maybe its because he is just coming back... hmmm...![]()
Evra is more attacking minded but Heinze is ferocious.. Different styles I guess.. Good thing Fletcher is doing better.. Haha but Man U doesn't have anyone who can whip in crosses like Beckham.. In fact is there anyone who can whip in crosses like Beckham?Originally posted by zocoss:Actually i find Patrice Evra is better than Gabriel Heinze lately... do you all think so? Evra closed attackers down immediately but Heinze waits for opponents to make their move (i.e. cross or dribble) before he decides on what he wants to do. Also, Evra is more attacking than Heinze.Originally posted by zocoss:Actually i find Patrice Evra is better than Gabriel Heinze lately... do you all think so? personally, i would prefer heinze over evra. but with evra improving so much lately, i doubt heinze will be able to keep his placeOriginally posted by CKeer:Evra closed attackers down immediately but Heinze waits for opponents to make their move (i.e. cross or dribble) before he decides on what he wants to do. I'd prefer Evra based on current form and i prefer speedy wing backs.
Cheers.

You are right there... Carrick was never bought as a replacement for keane... that job was probably meant for hargreaves. Carrick was probably bought for his passing skills. Man u play a game with lots of passing so a player like him is invaluable, although i think he still needs to improve on his speed alittle. Looking at Evra and Vidic, i guess he also needed a little time to settle into fergie's style of play.Originally posted by iceFatboy:Secondly, I was wrong about Carrick. Like what Bryan robson said, he is not an impact player, but he will grow on you. The passes he made, superb.
if he carry on, getting better, learning from Scholes, he may turn out to be bargain buy.
THirdly, I prefer Evra to Heinze as Evra is more attacking like Acole.
However, defensive, Heinze is more sound. He knows how to play with those "naughty" players.
Lastly, most important of all, last season, we were 13points down, chasing Chelsea. I think this season, hopefully will be more exciting.

all the medias keep splashing news that carrick was a replacement for keane, rubbish from themOriginally posted by zocoss:You are right there... Last season was really bad for united... too many injuries for them. Heinze was out from Sep and never played again that season, G Neville also injured, Brown also couldn't play in the earlier half until Keane had to play as a central defender as Vidic & Evra wasn't in yet remember? And to make matters worst, Scholes had an eye problem that prevented him from playing his usual game... Alan Smith broke his leg, Solskjaer out for almost 2 to 3 yrs...
There was a time when Phillip Bardsley was playing in Gary Neville position... and Keiran Richardson was their leftback...
