United will be missing three key players for the trip to Copenhagen, with Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Louis Saha all not travelling to Denmark.
Sir Alex and his 19-man squad flew out from Manchester Airport on Tuesday morning without Giggs (hamstring), Neville (calf injury) and Saha (knee) for the fourth Group F match, which could see the Reds clinch qualification to the knockout stages.
However, the manager confirmed that Patrice Evra has recovered from the ankle knock he picked up against Bolton on Saturday and says his squad is strong enough to cope. "It's a blow not to have such experienced players, but we've got a big squad," he said.
Neville is suffering from a recurrence of the calf injury that blighted his World Cup and hindered his start to the campaign. He is set to be replaced by Wes Brown, who lost his place in the side to Nemanja Vidic after the defeat to Arsenal. Vida has since struck up a solid partnership at the heart of the defence with Rio Ferdinand.
Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to shift to the left flank in place of Giggs, while Darren Fletcher is likely to resume duties on the right, where he has impressed in recent weeks. United have options up front to cover Saha's absence, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Alan Smith ready to partner Wayne Rooney in attack.
