Sir Alex Ferguson wants to quickly forget the disappointment of defeat to Celtic as the Reds begin their preparation for Sunday's Premiership battle with Chelsea.
The Reds didn't make the most of their dominant possession at Parkhead, succumbing to the sucker blow of Shunsuke Nakamura's perfect free-kick.
United must now avoid defeat in the last Group F match against Benfica at Old Trafford on 6 December, but Chelsea's visit to Manchester on Sunday is foremost in Sir Alex's mind.
"Obviously we are disappointed but the good thing is we have big matches before the Benfica game to focus on," he said. "We can put Europe on the backburner and concentrate on Sunday's match, which is massive for us. I'm sure it is a game the players will relish given this result."
Very little in terms of the title race will be decided on Sunday, but United could move six points clear of Jose Mourinho's men, while Chelsea will be eager to go level on points with the Reds with a win themselves.
Sir Alex's job is now to ready his team for what will be his team's toughest test so far this season. He said: "We have five days to lift the team. If the players have ambitions to win the league they know how important Sunday is. I don't think they will let anyone down."
