as promised..

THEN...
IMHO, its got to be Steve Bruce and Gary Pallister, the two defender is probably the best pair that i've ever seen, Bruce is the kind that'll keep scolding and pushing everyone playing beside him and hardly make mistake when thou he is slightly plump and pretty slow but what he can't do with his feet, he do them using his brain or so called football sense and when all the above fail.. he'll have Pallister covering his a$s.. Pallister being a uncompromising and pretty cool defender will just go ard doing his job in getting the defence sound and soild.. and the best part is that both Steve and Gary hardly get injured and is probably not the 1st name to appear when SAF pen his team but will for sure be those that he'll have to pen them down regardless of who Man Utd is playing against.
Now..
it just had to be Rio Ferdinand, a couple of school boy mistake now and then but when during the big match he is usually pretty reliable and can be depended to run the defences well.. fast, confidence, committed, hardly get injured are some of the things that come up on my mind when i talk abt him.. had it not been the book that Stam published, i'm sure they would have made a pretty decent defensive partner...
