Sir Alex Ferguson says his United side reacted well to five changes from the team that drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Sunday as the Reds ran out 3-0 winners against Everton
Although there were few signs of the free-flowing attacking football that was so prevalent in the seven straight league wins that preceded the stalemate against Chelsea, Sir Alex paid tribute to his players who produced a professional display against David MoyesÂ’ men.
“We started to get a bit of pattern to our play prior to the goal, but it wasn’t a fluid United display in the first half. Ronaldo’s goal just settled us down a bit. When you make a lot of changes you’re not going to get the same sort of flow we’ve had in previous weeks when the team has been playing together and been in good form.
