Patrice Evra became UnitedÂ’s eleventh different scorer this season as he capped his return to the starting eleven with the second goal in the RedsÂ’ 3-0 win over Everton.
The French full-back's second half strike was the pick of the bunch. Latching onto Rooney's clever through-ball, Evra angled his run towards goal from the left flank before firing his shot between Everton goalkeeper Richard Wright's legs.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is pleased with variety of goalscorers in his team, and has challenged the players yet to get off the mark to chip in as well.
“We were delighted with Patrice’s goal,” he told MUTV.
“We’re not too bothered where the goals come from, but I think one season we had 17 different scorers. If we can get somewhere near that then we’d be very pleased.”
United could equal that total if the first-team regulars yet to score this season get themselves on the scoresheet. Yet to find the net this term are Michael Carrick, Wes Brown, Gaby Heinze, Gary Neville, Ji-sung Park and Alan Smith. -
surprised that Carrick is not scoring.
I think he needs to unlease some of those thunderbolts...

during the mid 90s when Man Utd was dominating the EPL they had almost everyone scoring on a regular basics, even thou with players like Spraky and Cantona being their main strikers, players like Giggs, Kanchaski (whatever his name is), Ince, Robson, Sharpe and even the defenders like Irwin, Bruce, Pallister also pops up to score many important goals for Man Utd.. hence the saying back then was there is a way to stop strikers from scoring but there is not way you could stop Man Utd from scoring given that everyone will have to be marked dead in order to stop them.. until the purchase of Andy Cole (whom was better then Alan Shearer in term of goals scored during his Newcastle days) from Newscastle did we managed to see striker that managed to bang in more then 20 goals for Man Utd in the league (the last was Brain Mclair during his 1st couple of season in Man Utd), follow by Scholes (when he was still being used as a forward/striker during his earlier days) then RVN.. so it might be a great idea that Man Utd start scoring from every part of the team rather then just the strikers firing away (just look at Arsenal and Liverpool, both having low form strikers hence under performing)

I think the reason why Carrick isn't scoring is because he's afraid to pull the trigger.
I noticed that even though he's in a very good position to score, he'll either pass the ball away or "stun" for a few seconds before shooting, thus making the shot easy to save.
Anyone fancy Van der Sar scoring for United?

ya man... Kanchelskis... he is one the best right winger IMHO, lightening fast, brave, willing to take on players, can cross well, chip in his fair share of goals.. if not for the 3 non EU player restriction i'm sure he would have played an even bigger role on Man Utd, but then again if he is still ard, maybe Beckham wouldn't have been able to score that amazing goal from middle of the field..cos he probably wouldn't get to start the game at all...Originally posted by dinky1409:Kanchelskis lah haha.. just one funny observation, GVN seems not able to shoot straight, he seems to be forever aiming at the keeper..
