Giggs: I'd never swap United

Ryan Giggs has long since secured his place among the elite band of United legends, and the Reds winger is intensely proud of what he has achieved in his 16-year career.
Now, having scored 137 goals in 689 games since making his debut in 1991, he has Sir Bobby Charlton’s record 759 appearances in sight. And, despite the 33-year-old admitting he is “boring” off the field now, he says he wouldn’t swap his career for anything in the world.
"United have given me everything I've possibly wanted,” he told the PFA’s website. “Some people, like Alan Shearer for example, have great careers, but don't win trophies. I've been lucky to win so much – and get the friendships I've enjoyed. It's been the whole package. I wouldn't swap my career with anyone's."
GiggsÂ’ experience could prove vital in the title race this season. United have the youth of players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, but the know-how of the Welshman, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Edwin van der Sar are crucial.
He admits he has changed a lot in the intervening years since making his debut against Everton in the old first division. "I am a much more confident person than when I started here, which comes with age,” he explains. “I'm able to handle things that I wouldn't back then, things that would have bothered me. If I wasn't playing I was devastated. Now I'm disappointed but I know I'll come back.”
With the Reds entering into the festive season which sees United play five games in 15 days, every ounce of that experience and knowledge will be needed to remain in front of Chelsea. -

if i rmb correctly, there was a period of time when he nearly went to inter, but he didn't want too i think.

pity that he never get to play in world cup finals just because he's a welsh.

I thought I read somewhere before that he was asked to play for England but he didn't want to and he decided to play for Wales..
