Transfer market, no signings?

As time goes by, there's lesser chance of Man Utd signing new player...
Are you still hoping someone to come in? Or quite comfortable with this current squad?
I'm quite comfortable with the current squad, but worry as we still lack abit of depth in our midfield department... -
actually its a dicey situation. SAF typically don't sign big players in summer or put in another way, most of his summer signings don't end up bearing fruits - except for perhaps Saha.
At the moment, Man U is riding high (which is good) and there is a general feel-good sentiment around. Also, they are blessed with fully fit squad. The second-string midfield is certainly not ready to start - ppl like O'shea and Fletcher doesn't really make an impact - which is quite a worry should Giggs, Scholes or Ronaldo doesn't play.
Agreed with TS that perhaps one signing in midfield bah...with Bayern Munich making it almost impossible to sign Owen, Man U have to look elsewhere. All this while we are lacking a strong man in Keane's mould. -
true.. but our MF is paper-thin.. plus our reliance on Ronaldo to perform...
is like the old gunners relying on henry..
I am unsure whether it is the management or SAF, but it just seems so difficult when they try to sign any player.. -
sign a competent winger.

from my FM experience i should say george boateng from boro...tough tackler and cheap and somemore eligible for CL...although abit old...

I think it's time to look elsewhere for a defensive midfielder.
Reo-Coker and Nolan would be excellent choices.
As for Giggs replacement - Garet Bale and David Bentley.
