Sir Alex Ferguson feels his Manchester United players know 'the league is within their grasp'.
With 11 games to go, United sit six points clear at the top of the Premiership and the lead could be into double figures by the time Chelsea next play.
The current champions face Arsenal in the Carling Cup final this weekend, while United go to Fulham, and the leaders then tackle Liverpool before The Blues' next Premiership match.
Ferguson is aware of the importance of keeping the winning momentum going and has challenged his players to collect another three points at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
"The players know they've got the league within their grasp," Ferguson told Manchester United Radio.
"It's knock-down time now.
"As every week goes by we get another game knocked out and your rivals run out of games."
Meanwhile, Ferguson is hoping that this season's UEFA Champions League final in Athens will be an all-English affair.
With four Premiership teams still in contention, the United manager is predicting a fascinating climax to the competition.
He added: "I'd love an all-English final - just as long as we are involved in it.
"The competition is very open this season. There's not one team you could look at and say 'They're the favourites this season'."
