Manchester United keeper Tomasz Kuszczak is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Red Devils legend Peter Schmeichel.
The Danish shot-stopper was a huge favourite during his time at Old Trafford, helping the side to unparalleled success during his near eight-year spell with the club.
Kuszczak is currently United number two behind Edwin van der Sar, but the former West Brom ace is biding his time before he makes the number one shirt his own.
Sir Alex Ferguson has compared the Poland international to Schmeichel and that has only increased the 25-year-old's desire to match the imposing displays of the Danish legend.
"Now I've heard that Ferguson actually compared me to Schmeichel - that's enormous praise," Kuszczak told the newspaper.
"Maybe in a few years I will reach his level. But to get from having the dream to realising it is a long road.
"I've got my head down and I'm working hard. It's definitely hard to win a rivalry with a keeper who is 37 and has played 119 internationals."

sorry bloke....i really dun see anyone that can emulate Schmiechel...there's only one in the world.
Until he has proven himself in the big stage & pull in some superb performance...ok, he did saved a penalty from Arsenal but that's due more to the penalty taker doing a poor one than his agility / response.
