ROY KEANE has won a second successive Championship manager of the month award. The Sunderland boss landed the accolade in February and has claimed it again after guiding them to an identical run of four wins and a draw. That took the Black cats to third place in the table and on the brink of automatic promotion back to the Premiership. The League One the prize went to Bristol City boss Gary Johnson after five wins and a draw in their seven games - a run that has left them set for automatic promotion. Danny Wilson was named League Two winner after Hartlepool continued their unbeaten run with three wins and two draws in March, keeping them top of the table.
Awards panel chairman Chris Kamara said: "It is not easy to win back-to-back manager of the month awards but Roy Keane's achievements again this month are there for all to see. "His team were unbeaten in March and have yet to lose a game in 2007.
"If they can sustain this tremendous run for the remainder of the season there is no reason why Roy Keane cannot cap his remarkable progression as a manager with promotion to the Premiership."
