I think they should forget about all the titles and focus on playing basic flowing football first.. I have a feelin fergie is trying to get an early goal by pumping all the long balls up.. it is definitely not working.. as long as u pass beautifully and play well it builds up the motivation to score that goal.. you wanna pump ball so much go play rugby.. i really hope fergie blast the team and focus on playing beautiful football..

just now when watching the match, i kept complaining and saying, stop playing long pass/balls lah to my friends. -
actually i couldnt care less if they played ugly football and won...
but long balls arent working...... they should keep the ball down and stop passing back -
I agree that they should forget about the CL. Like i said before, the CL will cause them to play 2nd rated players like Richardson, Fletcher and O'Shea in the league... Honestly, i hope they will go out of the CL asap cos its not helping with the current injury situation they have got. If they don't have injuries to important players i will wish to see them going all out in every competition but that is not the case right now. Fergie just have to look at Wenger and he should learn from the mistakes Wenger did in trying to spread his team too thin... At the beginning many thought how good the gunners was but at the end, they were out of all competition within 11 days.
People shouldn't be too upset with the lost, we can see from the match how Portsmouth played... they were like a crazy team chasing everything. But then they could afford cos they don't play a match in every 3 to 4 days... This was an away match, is wasn't going to be easy... away matches at this stage are very hard... we have just saw how Chelsea needed injury time to save them and that was only against a lowly Watford team. But West Ham, Newcastle and Arsenal could give them more problems.
I would say the title is still pretty open... We should all be happy that united are still in the title chase at the stage of the competition cos last year this time the title was long gone. We have to remember that united have only added $20m to their last year's team while last season's winner have added another $80m to theirs... So don't give up hope, united are still doing well.
It will help if united get vidic and neville back soon... Anyway, the match at Stamford Bridge is not a given... If any team can get points out of them, it is united. They have ended Arsenal's 49 games unbeaten run, and they have also ended Pool's 2 yrs unbeaten home record as well... So why not Chelsea's. -
With defensive errors, I think we missed Gary Neville for right-back, and Vidic
And why the hell VDS keep doing that same thing? Punching out the ball like what he did in UCL. In the Portsmouth match, he did it 2 times, one of it resulted in a goal! 3 times in 2 matches is unforgivable -

man utd has a relatively easy fixture than chelsea, and chelsea is going to have a tough match against arsenal, and arsenal can't lose another match since they just lose to west ham, hey, and furthermore, man utd players already get used to 100 over matches per season, and now you folks are panicking over nothing, the race for premiership title, is heated up, good, at least SAF, will treat them those player with hair dryer treatment, and then they will preform up to task

comes down to all this, we shall see another remake of the 1995/96 season, where, the race goes down neck to neck, between for you all to know,
blackburn won that season, with 1 point, thats for you to know, who have never see a intensive title race, man utd is already used to this kind of pressure

man utd of 1995/6 was different. anyway that year was a close fight.... very exciting... i remember blackburn played their last game and had a 2 point lead. man utd played later and they had to win at west ham...
anyway if i din remember wrongly it was west ham and in the end it was a 1-1 score, with andy cole missing a good chance. so man utd lost....
but these past few seasons, man utd have not been playing well... and so this season was quite a surprise considering the $$ chelski has spent. so it will be heart breaking if man utd threw away the hard work it did the whole season if they started cracking this late in the season and did not bring the title back to OT. now there is tremendous pressure on them both in the league and CL and they dun really have the title-winning experience to pull them thru... have to depend on the old birds giggs, scholes, ole and SAF liao -
