Man Utd eyeing Bordeaux's want-away Faubert
Manchester United are being linked with Bordeaux fullback Julien Faubert.
The 23 year-old right-sided defender came close to joining AC Milan in January and now wants a move to the Premiership this summer.
"The Rossoneri preferred Massimo Oddo because I was Cup-tied from the Champions League," revealed Faubert. "It would appeal to play in England. I wanted to go there before the door opened to Milan."
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is searching for a potential replacement for 33 year-old captain Gary Neville and is aware of Faubert's ambitions. -

Man Utd in Sporting Lisbon talks for Nani
Manchester United are in talks with Sporting Lisbon for winger Nani.
The 20 year-old has just over a year left on his contract and has been watched by both United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and No2 Carlos Queiroz this season.
The Guardian says United have already begun negotiations with Sporting Lisbon for the Portugal international winger Nani, regarded as the brightest young player in the country. -
Man Utd seek to trump Chelsea for Sidwell
Manchester United have made a late move for Reading midfielder Steve Sidwell.
The Mirror says Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho met with 24-year-old Sidwell two weeks ago and offered him a £50,000-a-week deal.
But Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who has just pipped Mourinho to the Premiership title, has also spoken to Sidwell and offered him terms for next season.
Sidwell, 24, is a free agent this summer after let ting his contract run out at Reading and has emerged as one of the most in-demand midfield players in the Premiership. -
Sampdoria's Quagliarella: Man Utd want me
Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella is aware of interest from Manchester United.
The 23 year-old centre-forward said: "I am ready to join a big club.
"For now, I am only focused on Sampdoria, but I know there are options with Inter, Milan and Manchester United." -
Ribery confesses Premiership dream
The France star has been given permission to leave the club should a suitable offer be made in the summer and there will be plenty of candidates all vying for his signiture.
Ribery may decide to stay at the Stade Velodrome should they qualify for the Champions League, but if they don't it is highly likely he will choose a club from the Premiership or Spain's Primera Liga.
The France international has become one of Europe's hottest properties over the past 12 months and was frequently linked with a move to England during the January transfer window.
And now his latest comments, which seem to rule out a switch to French giants Lyon, are sure to spark much more speculation as the summer fast approaches.
"It is true last summer Lyon were very interested in me, but now I am only attracted by abroad. If I would leave, it would only be for a foreign club," Ribery told France Football.
"I know I am not very excited by a country like Germany. I prefer English and Spanish leagues.
"The clubs that make me dream? Manchester, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea and Milan.
"Money won't make me choose because there is money in any of those clubs. I just want to play, I don't want to change my club just to stay on the bench."
Marseille are hot on the heels of second-placed Lens as they chase a Champions League spot and Ribery has not ruled out extending his stay at the Mediterranean outfit.
"The day I leave Marseille, I would like to leave with my head held high, serene," Ribery added.
"My priority is to play Champions League football next season and why not with Marseille? I will do my best for l'OM to reach it.
"Then we will see what happens by the end of the season."

Nani - I only want to come to United
Sporting Lisbon starlet Nani wants to follow in Cristiano Ronaldo's footsteps and join Manchester United.
Nani, who has been likened to United star Ronaldo, will snub interest from clubs across Europe in order to achieve his dream move to Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson is an admirer of the 20-year-old and is thought to be ready to trigger a £17.5million clause in Nani's contract.
Nani came through the same youth system as Ronaldo at Sporting and wants to join his friend in the Premiership.
The Portuguese youngster is determined to make the move to United and has snubbed the opportunity to sign for Atletico Madrid.
"I'll only leave Portugal to play for a club like United," Nani told the Daily Mirror.
"The Premiership is spectacular and to be the next Cristiano would be a dream." -
