Van der Sar still good? Replacement needed?

Green is a good keeper. Look at all his saves on Sat!
But imho, I still prefer VDS to any other keeper now. He is the closest to Schimeichel, even though definitely not on par. -

traditionally, its difficult to replace a good goalkie, esp Man U, it took them so many seasons before finding someone who can at least emualte Schmiechel heroics in Van der Saar.
of course, to a certain degree its unfair to expect Van der Saar to replace Schmichel becos essentially they are different. But they do share similarities, they have similar stature & lanky. the difference is that schmichel really boss the goalmouth and won't hesitate to berate at his teammates. i don't see that in VDS.
goalies, esp good goalies usually have long playing life esp complemented by a good defense in front of him. in that, fergie is building on ferdinand & vidic combo complemented hopefully by evra & bale / richards in the long term. in that, i think VDS can last for another one or two more seasons.
and yes, i still maintain Foster and Krusack is not good enough to replace VDS. Man U shld search for a new goalie, in prep for VDS retirement. -
man u should just buy russian no. 1 Akinfeeyev. he's bloody good if you had watched him against arsenal though not so tall. or buy colombian goalkeeper -Libis Arenas.
Other than Independiente's Argentine Oscar Ustari, another hot prospect would be Czech Marek Stech and Mexican Guilermo Ochoa.

I recalled one article in Shoot magazine asking the team who is the most scary tackler? Keano or etc. And someone mentioned Schmiechel, even Keano gives way.
Schmiechel and EVS of similar stature and lanky?? I think I may need a 2nd opinion on that.
Cause Schmiechel is a giant. maybe to me, only. -
