Dead ball specialist needed?

  I noticed in the match against Milan, Ronaldo was often the free kick taker and he would blast them with sheer strength. However, they always ended up in the defensive wall.
  
  Somehow, Man U are no longer a threat in set pieces. Gone are the days where opponents fear Beckham's free kicks.
  
  One of the reasons for Man U's loss to Milan, I feel, is because of this.

  actually i never like free kick takers who blast the ball. i've always preferred those who curls and aim the ball at corners of the net.

  the only freekick i rmb rooney taking was against Fenerbahce ...wow and that was a heck of a long time ago.

  Giggs can take free kicks but it's not as powerful as Beckham's........
  
  Gareth Bale does look good at free kicks but can he defend? Haven't seen much of him.
