It's RUMOURS. If they plan to sell, it won't be in the near future.Originally posted by iceFatboy:if glaciers are selling, MUFC won't be buying anybody.
I agree. I don't think they will be getting anymore midfielders for the timebeing. SAF is more likely going to power up his backline and then of course, there's talk that SAF planned to get a more reliable striker too... I thought Rossi is coming back already so there's really little need for that...Originally posted by lpx88:We cant fit him in with the arrival of Hargreaves
agreed..Originally posted by lpx88:Based on our curent system...sort of 4-1-2-2-1..Main striker supported by 2 influential wingers in the form of Ronaldo and giggs..I was thinking liddat need more strikers for wad ... Spend 30 million on Berbatov to put him on the bench?Like this becoming like Chelsea liao...
for backline, the only concern would be RB where GNeville is getting old.Originally posted by Slipshade:I agree. I don't think they will be getting anymore midfielders for the timebeing. it seems park is really out, and for him to come back and be effective, I suspect may be after Christmas..Originally posted by stellazio:park will be coming back also.
buy simao. or the out of favour vicente.Originally posted by iceFatboy:for backline, the only concern would be RB where GNeville is getting old.
same as the LW, Giggs..But saying that, MUFC is alternating wingers so LW can be RW or vice versa.
so MUFC needs one who can play either wings.
Da formation is made famous by Mourinho in recent times (any earlier dates I not sure hor...) And I think in this formation, the use of Rooney is confusing to the opposition. Rooney is no out and out striker and cannot tahan solo. He runs... or rather rams at defences and in this formation deployment its basically 4-1-2-3-0.Originally posted by lpx88:Based on our curent system...sort of 4-1-2-2-1..Main striker supported by 2 influential wingers in the form of Ronaldo and giggs..I was thinking liddat need more strikers for wad ... yes, the best reason was look at this season, with scholes back, we were more assured in MF, and promptly, won the league.Originally posted by red_amoeba:i think the priority is to sort out gigg's replacement - thats why the interest in Nani. Like it or not, Glazers have to cough out some money to make a purchase - richardson is hopeless and he is better off on loan to Sunderland or Birmingham.
Reo coker can be purchased as a back up for Heagraves / Scholes bah....but still I think there is a need to get someone to replace Scholes or at least start grooming him. Otherwise if Scholes have an injury, Man U will be one short in the midfield.
simao seems loyal to his team. despite many rumours, he did not move.Originally posted by stellazio:buy simao. or the out of favour vicente.![]()

Not really so for backline. Wes Brown and John O'Shea are good, but they are unable to fill the shoes for the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Heinze, Evra and GN if they gets injured. Remember the makeshift backline Man Utd was forced to have as the season was near to a close?Originally posted by iceFatboy:for backline, the only concern would be RB where GNeville is getting old.

so MUFC needs one who can play either wings - aaron lennon of spurs??
just where does Spurs get all those money?? They are spending more than Chelsea...Originally posted by Slipshade:Not really so for backline. Aaron Lennon will be hard to buy...
Correction. They spend significantly lesser than chelsea.Originally posted by iceFatboy:just where does Spurs get all those money?? They are spending more than Chelsea...
Berbatov cost them 10.9m... Not X as he score tons of goals for them, but dun forget spurs have not been winning anything for the past few season. Yet they can spend 10+M juz on 1 player. mido £4.6m , Didier Zokora £8.6 million, Steed Malbranque £2million , rocha about £3.3 million , Chimbonda £4.5 million and Benoit Assou-Ekotto (believed to be in the region of £3.5 million). This r wad they spend last season... still not rich?Originally posted by CKeer:Correction. They spend significantly lesser than chelsea.
1 Sheva = the entire Spurs line-up.
Spurs strike very good deals. (Selling Carrick 3X the price they paid for him, purchasing Berbatov, Chimbonda, Lennon at a very cheap price. etc)
Cheers.
