Heinze is Real deal for £5m

GABRIEL HEINZE is close to a £5million switch to Real Madrid. Manchester United ace Heinze flew to the Spanish capital on Saturday to discuss the move. And Real chiefs are convinced they will win the battle to land the Argie defender after he decided to quit Old Trafford.
They want him to replace Brazilian left-back Roberto Carlos, 34, who is being released after 10 years at the Bernabeu. Heinze said: “I am convinced that if a good offer arrives then Manchester United will let me go.”
Heinze, 29, who joined United in 2004 for £6.9m, is also a target for Italian giants Juventus. But he favours a move to Real to boost his career after falling down United’s pecking order. Boss Alex Ferguson has preferred Patrice Evra at left-back this season. -

it also puzzled me why Man U did not land Bale when it wuld have been as easy as picking cherries...
two possibilities:
a. Man U not interested in the first place
b. Man U cannot guarantee Bale first team action -

there are rumours about Silvestre going to Lyon, Heinze going somewhere else.
why didn't MUFC just sell and then use the funds to get Bale?
if heinze is sold for 5m, Bale is only 6m++, surely MUFC can afford 1m more, right?
And what happened to Giggs, he was supposed to pull Bale to MUFC.
Instead I think he got backstabbed when he realised MUFC not buying.
So he issued "Spurs got a good player".
Just puzzled at how MUFC is doing business..
Got a 50M warchest, now, no one is signed.. Perhaps I am jumping the gun cause it is till Aug31 when the market is closed. -

Yeah...I don't want Heinze to go too. He's been in good form since playing the first XI during Rio's and Vidic's absence.
He's better than Silvestre and Evra anytime. Why do SAF wana sell him? And I can't believe he said he want to leave too...after just winning the premiership with Utd! Isn't that motivation enough? -
the key is pace.
Heinze seems to have lost it, and now using more and more of his anticipation skills. And sometimes it works, sometimes it didn't.
and for SAF, I bet he wants his backline to be solid but also pacey.
So maybe, Heinze is on his way out.. -

Obviously Heinze had Fergie's permission otherwise he wouldn't be in Madrid to discuss terms... As for Bale, the kid is still too young to be in the United 1st team and to be playing top level football weekly without mistakes being made... Moreover he cost too much for a 17 yrs old...
Heinze's time at United is almost up, he has done well overall for united but he did made quite a number of mistakes towards the end as well not to mention at the beginning of the season when he lost his place for more than half the season.
Time to let him go, don't hold him back... Anyway, Real Madrid is beginning to seem like a place where United can move their old players to... -
RVN went to real madrid & he is doing well, so is David Beckham. For all you know, Heinz goes RM and comes back to haunt them in the next season's CL....haiz...while I agreee Heinz has lost his pace, he has the aggression. Silvestre used to be pacy too, but since not seen it. I think he pegged Evra to LB, and hope he could go up to cross - as a cover for Giggs (or inevent he can't find someone to replace Giggs). But I wonder if its too risky asking Evra to fly up and down to cross - it is physically demanding... -

i dun like heinze.... cos he always drift out of his left back position..... he is slow to come back after he goes up front to attack.... he is not gd after his injury.... so should sell him....
