Derby's David Jones has joked he's still waiting for his good-luck text from Sir Alex Ferguson ahead of today's play-off final.
The former Manchester United midfielder says he's had one from Kieran Richardson and his other pals at Old Trafford and hopes Fergie hasn't forgotten him after just one season. He said: "I've had a few good-luck texts from the lads I know at United and some of the staff, although I'm waiting for Sir Alex's!"
Jones, 22, who joined Derby for £1million last summer, is grateful for the coaching he received during his nine years at United. "The education at United is all about making you able to perform on the big stage," he said. "I came here hoping I could make it straight back to the Premiership. Now we've just got to finish it off." David Anderson, Daily Mirror
