For those interested, this match actually has too much stake for all bookies. It was the UCL final and the whole world was watching.
There were at least 70% betting on manutd to win at -1/4 and only 20+% betting on chelsea at +1/4. The bookies would lose too much money if manutd won the match in normal time so that manutd wont win in the first 90mins.
just one small observation, ronaldo did sent in a few crosses but too high for all our attackers.. maybe we need someone a bit taller than rooney or tevez?

yes indeed.Ronaldo sent in quite a few crosses last nite, but none were met by our players...simply too short.Ronaldo-the tallest of all the forwards notch the only headed goal.So this speaks a lot of our team reliance on him to score headed goals when there's a need to change in style of play.Jus imagine with Ruud was still with us last night,i believe he could have connect from at least one of the crosses and score.

well my friend has got another punter's talk as well.
he said this is an all english finals. no way are they going to waste the english fans time and money just to watch only 90 minutes. they sure let them go into extra time and then penalties.
Who was MOM for you guys?
I say Vidic. ![]()

It's coming home!!!!!
Just for laughs...

hi!
I would like to know what caused the tevez-terry incident which led to the drogba sending-off. I know drogba slapped vidic, but what was the exact incident that caused tevez to get angry in the first place...

tevez - terry?
if I am not wrong, earlier in the game, there were two cases of Chelsea players seeking treatment. However, Chelsea players on the restart did not throw the ball back to MUFC, instead they threw back to the sides.
I believe normally, it would have been back to the opposing keeper.
During extra time, when there was a MU player who seeked treatment, Tevez threw it to the side and asked the rest of the MU players to pressure. And it sparks everything.
Words got exchanged, Drogba slapped Vidic in front of linesman and referee, and got sent off.
I think in the end, someone threw the ball back to MU and game restarted.

This is what i can remember.... ![]()
Chelsea kicked the ball out cause one of their players got injured.
Then in the resulting throw in, Brown(think it was him) threw the ball to Tevez who kicked the ball back out of play for a Chelsea throw.
Then Tevez started signalling for his fellow teamates to come forward to pressure Chelsea.
So this caused Terry(or was it Ballack) to confront Tevez over what he was doing.
*argue* *argue* *argue*
*slap*
Red card loh.
I already typed wad was the cause in page 5. it is not about tevez asking them to pressure.
It is about the retards who were unhappy that tevez pass the ball back into their half when they played the ball out at man united half.
retards. they did the same to man united twice earlier.
so when everyone rushed over, drogba couldnt stand vidic anymore after all the taunting and mind games so he decided to be the suicide bomber.
ok, thx! Paiseh if its repeated question.
now got repeat telecast, i go watch again.

Looks like he did...
No wonder he had it coming... "Lium Bek legs" Terry got his karma... ![]()

MANCHESTER UNITED'S heroes are returning home in glory today.
Alex Ferguson's Double winners are set to touch down after winning the European Cup in Moscow last night.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Co are basking in the spotlight after their epic victory over arch rivals Chelsea in the Champions League final.
United edged the Blues in a dramatic penalty shoot-out 6-5, leaving skipper John Terry and his players to fly back empty-handed into Gatwick today.
United never do things the easy way, do they? In '99, it was injury-time drama and this time, it was literally hanging on a knife-edge with Terry's penalty potentially delivering the knockout punch!
Nevertheless, great win and a fitting end to what has been a sensational season...! ![]()

Fergie ftw!!

Scarcely had the champagne and rain dried on Sir Alex Ferguson's suit at the Luzhniki Stadium when the debate began. As another trophy enhanced the Scot's already stellar reputation, as another managerial rival failed to keep pace, Ferguson returned from Moscow yesterday established as the greatest manager in British club history, ahead of Sir Matt Busby, Jock Stein, Bob Paisley and Brian Clough.
The decision to include the Manchester United manager's work north of Hadrian's Wall is important here, because his against-the-odds feats with Aberdeen in the early Eighties help propel this thoroughbred ahead of a prestigious field. Phenomenal success at two clubs, domestically and in Continental combat, sets Ferguson apart.
Now i fear he might consider retiring since he got his dream of winning CL again.
