The England international was replaced by Portuguese winger Nani during extra time in United’s victory over Chelsea in Moscow.
The
22-year-old was seen tossing his shirt aside as he came off the pitch,
in what many observers deemed to be a fit of fury at Sir Alex
Ferguson’s decision.
But the former Everton man has quashed such
speculation, saying: "I didn't throw my shirt down. I took my shirt off
to put a dry top on to keep myself warm."
Hmm..looked pretty obvious to me that he was really pissed. ![]()
yep, he was pissed.. but to be fair to him, he has been an excellent team player.
i tink SAF make the right decision to take him off.
SAF is also bold enough to take him off, becoz from wat i see, in the 2nd half he dont really contribute much. He looks tired.
i always believed a striker is no matter what, rated by the world by his goals.. if u look at rooney he is an effective team player but aint banging in the goals.. fergie is obviously playing favourites here haha.. kana taken out alwys angry.. that day ronaldo also.. lols..
