  Hargeaves out for rest of season

  Manchester United and England midfielder Owen Hargreaves has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to tendinitis in his knees.

  The England international travelled to Colorado for a meeting with renowned surgeon Dr Richard Steadman after being plagued by a tendinitis problem for almost two years.

  And United have confirmed Hargreaves has had surgery on his right knee and will have a further operation on his left knee in a fortnight, ruling him out for the remainder of the campaign.

  ususally fergie will give chance one - see case for Van Nistelrooy and G Neville. But Hargreaves will have to prove himself to have a quick post-op recovery to get back to fitness. So I believe Fergie will keep him for now (anyways you cannot get good value with him injured). If he can quickly recover and gain back his "powers" he can still prove useful. In any case, Fergie spent almost one season pursuing him...for his pride, he will not want to off-load him so fast.
