Mourinho'Porto once destroy Man United. History might repeat itself with Mourinho running down the touchline celebrating victory

Inter Milan's coach Jose Mourinho looks at two police officers as his team arrives at Manchester airport, northern England March 8, 2009, ahead of their Champions League soccer match against Manchester United. Manchester United's tie with Inter Milan is the most precariously balanced as the big four English teams bid to reach the Champions League quarter-finals for the second year in succession.

    Ferdinand boost for United

Rio Ferdinand looks set to be fit for Manchester United's UEFA Champions League tie against Inter Milan on Wednesday.

The centre-half had been an injury concern for the second leg of the last 16 clash after suffering an ankle knock against Fulham in the FA Cup.

Ferdinand was replaced by Jonny Evans at half-time in Saturday's 4-0 win and left Craven Cottage wearing a protective boot.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admitted after the quarter-final victory that his stand-in captain was a big concern for the visit of Inter.

However, Ferdinand took part in training with United on Tuesday morning after responding well to treatment on the injury.

His availability would be a major boost for the Champions League holders, with Ferdinand to resume his partnership with Nemanja Vidic, who missed the first leg through suspension.

Ferguson has concerns at right-back, with Gary Neville, Wes Brown and Rafael da Silva all injured, although John O'Shea trained after suffering with a heel injury of late.

I think Inter will come across nothing they have in the Serie A...

They are used to dominate matches in Serie A but this will be the first time they will come up against a side that is not going to let them dictate how the match goes... OT is different, I belief Inter along with Jose will get beaten... And at the end of the match... Jose will say United will go on to win the Champions League... lol

the key is the first 15-20mins..

if MU can establish their tempo, then it would be good..

I hope it doesn't go beyond 60mins, cause if then, it would be a disaster if Inter were to sneak in a goal..

Manchester United will line up against Inter Milan tonight in a kit that leaves no one in any doubt that the Red Devils are the best team in the world.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Old Trafford legend Ryan Giggs have launched the new red strip with the Club World Cup-winners badge emblazoned on the chest.

That should show Milan manager Jose Mourinho exactly who is top dog.

Cristiano Ronaldo to unveil new Nike boot in Champions League tonight: Picture exclusive

Champions League 2nd round 2nd leg: Manchester United v Inter Milan, 3.45am

    New Nike football boot

Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovich will both run out onto the pitch at Old Trafford on tonight in the new Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly football boot, as they hope to fire their team into the next round of the UEFA Champions League.

The new Mercurial Vapor Superfly football is Nike’s lightest and fastest football boot ever.  Weighing in at an unbelievable 185g, this boot is designed to take on-pitch speed to new levels through a combination of materials, technologies, craftsmanship and passion.

“The most important thing for me is for my boots to be comfortable.  Nike listens to my feedback and they improve the boots each time. This boot is much lighter which helps me move faster when I’m attacking,” says Cristiano Ronaldo.
