I heard that for muslims, if there is no Halal food availiable, then Kosher food is also acceptable.
If this a vice versa thing? as in if there is no Kosher food availiable, is it legal for a Jew to take Halal food? -
Good night vince... sleep well my friend... as to your question, Kosher goes to the type of food, and preparations are very strict, where as halal is about the slaughter process, do you see Jews eating prawns, calamari etc, but yet the muslims do eat these. From what I can gather... can someone else shed more light on this??

Kosher is much stricter than halal, that is why muslims can safely eat kosher foods while Jews cannot eat halal food as a substitute. For example, Muslims are allowed in their halal laws to eat prawns and squid and all kinds of fish including stingray and other shellfish, but these foods are not kosher.
