at least we won! bear was announcing scores in shoutboxOriginally posted by laurence82:came back from the game sometime ago
we won 2-1
we started the game and quickly put in one goal
the thais play acted a lot, with three feigning injuries within first fifteen minutes of the game
the thais committed a lot of fouls against our team, but which the referee ignored, he is a Malaysian btw (hint hint about the semi finals)
the second half started, there was one crucial foul committed againsts our team midpitch, which our team started to point out and was equally stunned
damn thais took this chance to have two team members facing our keeper (who is alone) and kicked in one goal
damn
last minutes, somebody committed foul in penalty box, resulting in a penalty kick for the Lions
damn thai keeper refused to play, and whole thai team went off the pitch and threatened to boycott the game
fracas lasted for fifteen mins, but they eventually came back and our guys scored a goal
surprisingly, despite the odds against the Lions, our team played quite well, i mean, they took the ball away from the Thais easily, and despite the foul which caused the second goal, they had that sense of professionalism to continue playing, unlike the Thais, who just threatened to boycott
i heard the Thai team is the best soccer team in ASEAN..
i am sure this fracas will last for few days, hopefully, AFC will slap the whole Thai team including the coach with disciplinary action

I think the atmosphere in Thai stadium will be murderous, damn tough crowd to perform in
actually, the Thai team manager seems to agree with you on this, that the Sgp team may win the cup.Originally posted by sillyme:Small chance only
Our defense quite tough. Just don't crumble under pressure, it should be ok lah
I am not sure about the football league in Thailand. I think the S-League did help to bring the level of footballl up. Some more we have foreign "imports" .Originally posted by vince69:actually, the Thai team manager seems to agree with you on this, that the Sgp team may win the cup.
Football: Lions can win ASEAN Championship if Thais lose first leg: Thailand Team Manager
hope they don't wilt under pressure and score own goals... they have been known to do that.. kekekek.Originally posted by sillyme:Small chance only

huh, you've got to fill me in on this one...Originally posted by laurence82:hmm actually its true that the ref's decisions was controversial, heck, he ignored so many fouls committed right in front of his eyes
but then again, its unprofessional to walk of the pitch like that
ban the Thais
was the ref a singaporean?Originally posted by sillyme:The referee is really kayu lah... you can see that he lost control of the match...
Ref is a Malaysian. They shouldn't put someone whose national team just lost to one of the finalist as referee. very hard to not doubt his judgements...Originally posted by breytonhartge:was the ref a singaporean?
Hey sillyme, how goes the prep for the wedding??

my prep ah? not so bad.. the major bookings, e.g. photographer, venue, all done...
now left food-tasting, gather helpers, and guest list... i think guest list is the major headache
never had i listened to so many christian songs at one go... needed to choose them for the wedding ...
Have not selected our menu yet... but will be doing it soon lor... good thing we can pick and choose from a variety (not from fixed sets)Originally posted by breytonhartge:all the very very best! Shalom and shalom!
Food tasting is fun... best part. What are you having on the menu?
With the songs... been there done that... would not like to do it again... tiring. Even though you like the songs. Are you doing a bridal waltz? Have you learnt your steps yet?
