We heard many times that the Lord (Yeshua) is our good shepherd, but what does Him, being our shepherd meant to us? How does being our shepherd means when we relates to Him? ...etc
Psalms 23 (The Complete Jewish Bible)
1 A psalm of David: ADONAI is my shepherd; I lack nothing. 2 He has me lie down in grassy pastures, he leads me by quiet water, 3 he restores my inner person. He guides me in right paths for the sake of his own name. 4 Even if I pass through death-dark ravines, I will fear no disaster; for you are with me; your rod and staff reassure me. 5 You prepare a table for me, even as my enemies watch; you anoint my head with oil from an overflowing cup. 6 Goodness and grace will pursue me every day of my life; and I will live in the house of ADONAI for years and years to come.
Beside this, how does the Shepherd take care of His flock?Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd who lays his life for the flock, unlike the hired man.

The Good Shepherd always care for his sheep and only wants the best of them. We should therefore trust in Our Lord, that He will give us what is best for us.Originally posted by vince69:Beside this, how does the Shepherd take care of His flock?

"He puts forth His arm in strength and scatters the proud hearted."
Perhaps He will choose to make us humble by stripping us of some gift temporarily.
I was punished by the Lord, but not doomed to die.
Yes, with love and tender, the Good Shepherd always take care of His sheep, and He will never abandon them. But what happen when one of His sheep decide to stray away?Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:The Good Shepherd always care for his sheep and only wants the best of them. Each day He guides us, even though we may not realise.
Then he will go after them, until they come back.Originally posted by vince69:Yes, with love and tender, the Good Shepherd always take care of His sheep, and He will never abandon them. But what happen when one of His sheep decide to stray away?
True also, that He will actively go after them, to carry them back to His care and love, instead of just sit around and wait for the sheep to realise and turn back.Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:Then he will go after them, until they come back.
