Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini admits he still has concerns about his job.
City are currently fourth, just four points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham having played a game more.
Mancini said: "I have a three-year contract. I don't know if my position depends on finishing in the top four - I don't think so.
"We don't want to finish fourth, we want to finish third if possible.
"I don't know my future at the moment, just as I don't know the future of players like Craig Bellamy and Emmanuel Adebayor. We have many players out on loan who will come back to us.
"But now it is very important to achieve our targets. I don't know my future. You can't know your future, because anything can happen in life.
"At the moment our target should be the next few weeks.
"But regarding these last eight league games and the FA Cup semi-final, anything is possible."
