ANDRIY SHEVCHENKO will not have to worry about being axed by Jose Mourinho — even if he goes three months without scoring.
Cynics might point to goal-shy £30million man Shevy being one of owner Roman Abramovich’s best mates.
But Mourinho insists the Ukrainian striker is playing well, whether the rest of us can see it or not.
Former European Footballer of the Year Shevchenko has made a quiet start in a blue shirt, scoring just once in five games.

Andriy Shevchenko has been given a vote of confidence by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and captain John Terry, after being criticised for recent displays.
The 30-year-old striker, who cost £30m from AC Milan in May, has scored just twice in 10 games so far this season.
But after Match of the Day pundit Alan Hansen called him "heavy-legged", Mourinho said: "He is just lacking the one goal which will give confidence."
After a subdued display in the 1-1 home draw with Aston Villa on Saturday, Hansen expressed his fears for the Ukraine striker.
"When we saw him at the World Cup, he'd been out for a long time and the argument was that he wasn't fit.
"I keep on hearing and reading that he's going to get better and in time he will score goals.
"I'm not so sure. His performances so far in the Premiership have not been that great and when Michael Ballack and Joe Cole come back, I'm not sure he's going to play."
